On September 2, the preeminent university of the region opened its doors
for freshmen. This year, the family of Ulyanovsk State University became larger
by almost 4 thousand students.
Dear friends! We congratulate you
on the Day of Knowledge, the beginning of a new school year! This is a
celebration of all those whose life is connected with education. School classrooms
and university lecture halls come to life again, cities and villages are full
of bouquets of flowers in the hands of school students and teachers, and adults
with warm sadness recall those wonderful years when they were school students, university students themselves.
At a meeting-workshop with
representatives of subordinate educational organizations, the topic was about
strengthening the role of universities in the formation of state informational
scientific, educational and youth policies. Vice-rectors in charge of universities’
information policy and heads of university press services, over 400
participants from 230 universities, were invited to participate in a
professional dialogue. Ulyanovsk State University was represented by Tatyana
Kirillova, Vice-Rector for External Relations and Youth Policy.
In the Ulyanovsk region, the
thematic week of the national project "Science" has begun. It is
going to bring together the representatives of leading research and educational
organizations, organizations in the field of innovation and business. The week
is dedicated to the dialogue between science and society, the exchange of
experience, networking, presentation of projects and the search for partners
with common interests.
On August 14, the head of the
region held a meeting with representatives of public councils under the
governor and executive power agencies of
the Ulyanovsk Region to discuss work plans for the next year.
The Minister of Education and
Science Natalya Semyonova and the Minister for the Development of International
and Interregional Relations, Ekaterina Smoroda, spoke about the course of the
project implementation in the region.
The topic has become one of the items on the meeting’s agenda of the
coordinating council for the state migration policy implementation in the
Ulyanovsk region. The participants discussed the main issues regarding the stay
of foreign citizens in the region. Presentations were made by representatives
of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Agency for the Development of Human
Potential and Human Resources and other agencies.
The participants of the meeting discussed the digital transformation of
higher education institutions, the activities of the university “Boiling
Points” events, as well as the implementation of the national project
“Personnel for the Digital Economy”. Opening the meeting, Sergei Morozov said
that the regional government would expect active participation of universities
in the process of training the required specialists.
Participants were athletes from all over the
country from the age of 35. The first two days were devoted to training and
shooting. Then there was an individual race with four firing lines in seven age
categories (aged 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-65 and 65+): for men -
at distances of 10 and 12.5 km, women participated in the races of 10
kilometers. In the sprint race, biathletes were waiting for a distance of 7.5
and 6 km, respectively.
The topic of the meeting was the participation of the Ulyanovsk region in
ASI projects. The discussion began with an opening address by Governor Sergei
Morozov. Tatyana Zhuravleva spoke about the projects that Ulyanovsk could join
- “100 City Leaders” and “Project for the Creation of the Urban Competencies Center”.
The co-speaker on the last issue was the chairman of the URO “Support of
Russia” Nikolai Solodovnikov, who presented a roadmap for creating a center of
