USU holds meeting with Takata-Petri Rus management
On October 13, USU administration, deans and department heads met with representatives of Takata-Petri Rus company, director general, Alexander Koepke and director of personnel, Tatiana Platonova.
The visitors shared with the audience general information about the company and its new plant in Ulyanovsk, which has been under construction since last May, and will manufacture various automotive parts, such as airbags, steering wheels, safety belts.
At the moment the company is actively seeking highly-skilled personnel for the new plant, which is why collaboration with USU in training specialists for the automotive industry is regarded as a priority.
Collaborative efforts in the near future will include joint engineer training projects and career orientation meetings with senior USU students.
