Victorious debut: USU students of the Faculty of Economics receive awards of the international student Olympiad
Students of the Faculty of Economics Daria Kurushina, Daria Denisova and Anastasia Shiryaeva under the guidance of Associate Professor of the Department of Finance and Credit Anna Romanova participated in the XXXI International Student Olympiad “Economics and Management”, held by St. Petersburg State University of Economics.
Three hundred and seventy four participants
registered for the Olympiad: students and heads of delegations. The program was
aimed at stimulating the skills of solving complex economic problems and
effective teamwork, the formation of a new model of research managers, taking account of the realities of today and the
prospects for future integration processes. There were 14 sessions that worked
at the Olympiad, each had several
rounds: individual testing of participants, business games or cases with
presentations and a round for session winners.
The team of USU was registered in one of the most numerous sessions - “Finance and Credit”. The debut of our team was very successful. According to the results of the Olympiad, Daria Kurushina took third place in the overall standings and second place in the business game. The first place in the second round of the Olympiad in the nomination “Business game” was awarded to Anastasia Shiryaeva. The diploma "For the original solution to the problem under study" was given to Daria Denisova. The head of the delegation, Associate Professor Anna Romanova, was invited to the jury of the Finance and Credit session.
USU Rctor Boris Kostishko and the director of IEB Evgeny Bely on behalf of the Rector of SPUEU Igor Maksimtsev received letters of appreciation for the highly professional training of future specialists.
