A student of USU makes it into the final of the All-Russian Olympiad “I am a professional”
A third-year student of the Faculty of Medicine,
Irina Kolodiy, is going to take part in the final stage of a large-scale
educational competition in four areas: “Living Systems Technologies”, “Ecology”,
“Psychology” and “Space Exploration”. The final stage will be held in February
in large universities across the country, and the results will be summarized in

course of the winter school “Absolute Future” at the Moscow Institute of
Physics and Technology. The school’s busy schedule comprised not only lectures
from leading scientists and master classes from partners of the Olympiad, but
also visits to specialized laboratories, excursions, and the opportunity to
make a presentation.
“On the final day of the winter school, a poster session was organized, where I told about the results of the work of the USU research team under the guidance of Tatiana Petrovna Gening, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor. I would like to express my deep gratitude to my advisor Dinara Rishatovna Dolgova for her invaluable assistance in the preparation of the presentation. Answering the questions, it was necessary to take into account the fact that medical information should be brought to the attention of students - biologists, physicists, mathematicians and computer scientists ” Irina said.
“I am a professional” is a global Olympiad of a new format for students of technical, humanitarian and natural science programs. It is one of the flagship projects of the open platform “Russia is a country of opportunities”, supported by President Vladimir Putin. Specialists from leading Russian universities and the largest companies in the country designed tasks for participants. It is not abstract erudition that is tested, but professional knowledge. The best participants receive cash prizes, privileges for the enrollment in the master’s programs or graduate school, as well as they will make a good account of themselves to employers.
