Anastasia Evseeva, a student of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Technologies is the winner of the university stage of the "Student Leader" contest
USU student leader was elected on March 23 at the
university media center. Annually the university stage is held by the trade
union of USU students. And the All-Russian contest "Student
Leader", which attracts the best representatives of the regions, is
organized by the Trade Union of Workers of Education and Science. At USU, five participants contended for the victory: Angelina Simachkova, a
second-year student of the Faculty of Medicine, Sofia Presnyakova, a first year
student of the Faculty of Culture and Art, Egor Dunaev, a third-year student of the Ecology
Faculty, Anastasia Evseeva, a third-year
student of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Technologies and Daria
Mikhailova, a third-year student of the Faculty of Economics.
The students had to demonstrate their homework, presenting themselves and their trade union organization, as well as infographics on the given topic. Then they were waiting for a blitz tournament and a test on the organization of trade union work, student government and social support for students.
The level of contestants was assessed by Svetlana Popova, the head of the Department for International Relations, Youth Policy and Social Work of USU. Petr Ofitserov, the chairman of the trade union organization of students at Ulyanovsk State University and the participants of the contest of past years. The teams of the faculties, armed with agitational symbols and chants, came to cheer for their own.
As a result of the tough struggle, Anastasia Evseeva became the winner. Nastya holds the post of deputy chairman of the trade union bureau at her faculty. The second place was taken by Daria Mikhailova, the chairman of the trade union bureau of the Faculty of Economics. The girls will represent the flagship university at the regional stage of the contest, which will be held at the end of April at the Chaika recreation camp.
