We invite students to participate in fascinating scientific and engineering contests "An engineering cluster: The Arctic" and "Orbit" which are held in September-October, 2015 with assistance of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

"Engineering cluster: The Arctic" this is a team STEM game where participants should "build" the hi-tech power effective settlement in the conditions of Far North. The game takes place in two stages: correspondence (online) and internal for finalists which will take place at FSBEI HPE "Moscow State Machine-Building University (MAMI)" at the beginning of October. Participants of the contest will be able like in computer game, to organize the settlements of different purpose in harsh northern conditions by means of solving tasks in physics, mathematics and programming. During the internal stage of the contest finalists should assemble manually one of the game objects of (materials are provided by the organizers).

One can be registered on the site to participate in "An engineering cluster: The Arctic". Registration will last till September 25, 2015.

The Orbit contest is dedicated to space exploration: participants should send spacecrafts to the planets of the Solar system, taking into account density of the atmosphere of planets, high-speed characteristics of devices and other required conditions. Besides, participants will simulate the satellite launch to the Earth orbit for research purposes. Participants of the "Orbit" game can become not only junior and senior students, but also school students of 8-11 forms. Alexander Shayenko, the founder of community "Your Sector of Space", head of an educational program "Modern astronautics" at the University of Mechanical Engineering took part in the process of developing the contest.  "Orbit" also includes the correspondence (virtual) and internal stages: at an internal stage participants should assemble satellite model with the designer’s kit that was specially worked out for the contest.
