Universities and the flagship university of the Ulyanovsk region confirmed
their intention to develop mutually beneficial cooperation in the framework of
the International Scientific and Educational Center for Traditional Chinese
Medicine of USU.
On October 7–9, a
meeting of the Council of the Russian-Chinese Association of Medical
Universities (RCAMU) and the general meeting of the Council of Rectors of
medical and pharmaceutical universities was held. The event was held in the
Government of the Tyumen region with the participation of the head of the
region Alexander Moor, Deputy Minister of Healthcare of the Russian Federation
Tatyana Semyonova, RCAMU co-chairmen Petr Glybochko and Yan Baofeng, as well as
more than 100 representatives of Russian and Chinese universities.

The forum “Nanostructures
and topical problems of physical and functional electronics” in memory of Zhores
Alferov, the Nobel Prize laureate,
academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Honorary Professor of USU was
organized in the framework of project the Ulyanovsk Region - M.V. Lomonosov Moscow
State University “Vernadsky”. Forum
events will be held from October 17 till the end of November.
On October 20, artists
from leading Moscow theaters with the Ulyanovsk State Academic Symphony
Orchestra “Gubernatorsky” presented Tchaikovsky’s opera “Iolanta” at the Lenin
Memorial. The choir of students and teachers of Ulyanovsk State University
participated in the performance.
Bogdan Andreyev, a
student of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Technologies won the Grand Prix
of the International Festival-Contest “There is a whole world in your soul”.
The participants were both creative groups and individual performers - children
from two years old and adults, who competed in 12 nominations.
Sharafutdinova, a graduate student of the department of faculty therapy, became
the winner in the international contest of young scientists and received a
travel grant, owing to which she could attend the annual Congress of the
European Society of Cardiology ESC-2019 from August 31 to September 4 in Paris.
