Sevastopol State University hosted the Open Data-2019 forum, where an
agreement was signed on USU’s joining to the University Consortium of Big Data
Fiona Bell, a Fulbright fellow from the USA is going to teach English to
students of the flagship university in
the 2019-2020 academic year.
The girl studied the Russian language and Russian literature at Princeton University (New Jersey), then completed the master course in Oxford
(England). Fiona got acquainted with Russia and loved our country during
internships in St. Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod.
The staff members of the USU Graduate Employment Assistance Center and
senior students took an active part in the expert session “Subjective Positions
of the Graduate Employment and Disability Employment Support System: Growth
Points”. The event was organized by the REMC of the University of Minin (Nizhny
Novgorod) at I.N. Ulyanov Ulyanovsk
State Pedagogical University on September 17.
The Russian Society of Clinical Oncology (RUSSCO)
held its own session on September 15 in Chicago at the Congress of the American
Society of Radiotherapists (ASTRO). The moderator and one of the speakers was Natalya
Dengina, the head of the radiological
department of the State Healthcare Institution Clinical oncologic hospital ,
associate professor of the Department of Oncology and Radiation Diagnostics of
USU, a member of the board of RUSSCO. This was the first report from Russia at
the largest congress of radiation oncologists in the world.
Today the 1st
International Scientific Conference “Private Law and Public Law Problems of Contemporary
Jurisprudence” is being held at USU, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the
Russian lawyer, arbitrator, doctor of legal sciences, professor of the USU criminal
process department Georgy Abshilava.
On September 26, the USU Center for Graduate Employment Assistance took
part in a meeting-presentation of the project “Internships 2.0”, organized by
the All-Russian People’s Front together with the Autonomous Non-Profit
Organization “Russia is the Country of Opportunities”.
On September 26, in the hall of the Nobility Assembly of the Ulyanovsk Book
Palace, a presentation on the new Faust by Goethe published by the publishing
center of Ulyanovsk State University was made. The author of the translation,
the dean of the Faculty of Linguistics, International Cooperation and
Professional Communication Alexander Fefilov, lived and studied in Leipzig as a
student. The professor sought to bring the Russian text as close as possible to
the original in semantic, linguistic and figurative-poetic aspects.
