USU provides psychological assistance sessions for Ulyanovsk doctors
2020-05-27 13:16

The first online session with participation of the head of the USU Department of Medical Psychology, Psychoneurology and Psychiatry, PhD in medical sciences, associate professor Ildar Sabitov was held on May 26 on the Zoom platform. The conference “Emotional burnout: help yourself and others” became a part of the series of events of the project “Be healthy with USU!” which started at the pre-eminent university during a pandemic.

The participants of the online meeting discussed the issues that concern the medical community representatives in connection with the pandemic of COVID-19, got an opportunity to ask questions online and make an appointment for an individual consultation.

The pre-eminent university decided to organize a series of events with the aim of supporting doctors and nurses who today experience extreme overload and stress. Since the remote format has proven its effectiveness, online dialogs with USU specialists are expected to become regular.

The data for the connection are going to be posted in the Facebook group .

The activities of the project “Be healthy with USU!” are included in the rehabilitation programs for medical workers following a joint meeting of the Presidium of the Council of the Medical Chamber and the Council of Chief Physicians at the Ministry of Health of the Ulyanovsk Region on additional measures to support and prevent the professional and emotional burnout of medical workers assisting patients with coronavirus infection.
