The distributed regional conference “Interaction paths in the development of digital skills” has ended at USU
Nine municipalities, more than 80 participants, 48 educational institutions, 24 heads of code classes, 12 established clubs and a list of events for 2020 from 20 points - these are the final figures of the distributed regional conference "Trajectories of interaction in the development of digital skills." This year the conference has been held in a new format. In October-November, field events were organized in three remote areas of the Ulyanovsk Region (Inza, Staraya Maina and Dimitrovgrad) with the participation of representatives of five municipalities, and a talk show conference on the topic of code classes and a final round table. The final events were held on December 5 - during the worldwide campaign “Hour of Code” - with the participation of project manager Jacob Ostanin and computer science teachers from schools with the best code classes.
As a result of the conference, new clubs were set up, which was largely facilitated by Irina Panfilova, a constant participant in field events, the head of one of the best code classes at school No. 41. She spoke in detail about how to register a club, shared the secrets of successful work, and also gave master classes using the educational resources of the project. The specialists of the flagship university - the director of the Inza branch Oleg Midlenko and the dean of the Zavolzhsky Faculty of Economics and Humanities Elena Vershinina presented the opportunities for partner schools to participate in the university’s strategic projects - Project Office: University & Municipality + and USU Educational IT Platform. Alla Kostishko, coordinator of the project “Your Course: IT for Youth,” Director of the Center for Internet Education, told the House of Scientific Collaboration, which will be opened at USU in 2020, as well as about the networking of the region’s code classes and the possibilities for additional funding for career guidance schools from grants Regional IT Development Fund.
At a talk show with the participation of the head of the project “Your Course: IT for Youth” Yakov Ostanin, the head of OGKU “Government for Citizens” Svetlana Openensheva, the coordinator of the project training center at USU Alla Kostishko, as well as the leaders and students from the best code classes, they discussed Opportunities and prospects for the development of the code-class movement in the country and its successes in our region - they were especially emphasized by the federal expert.
The conference ended with a round table with the participation of the leaders of the best clubs in the region, who got an opportunity not only to hear first-hand about the project implementation plans for 2020 from the project manager Yakov Ostanin, but also to ask questions and express wishes for further joint activities. The program of general project activities in the region is still under discussion - during the week the expert community of teachers can add to it the activities that they need for successful professional growth and the development of career guidance and educational activities.
The main goal - to attract new schools and new teachers to the code-class work, to show the capabilities of the project “Your course: IT for youth” and the regional high school in the organization of educational and career guidance activities - is 100% complete.
