2019-06-04 07:27

At the second part of the international scientific-practical workshop “German-Russian Cooperation in Higher Education and R & D”, the Russian-German Faculty hosted representatives from Nizhny Novgorod State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering and Niderrhein University (Krefeld, Germany). By tradition, the workshop was held in English. The students visited joint Russian-German enterprises in the Zavolzhye Industrial Zone, the nanotechnology center Ulnanotech, the Hempel plant of paints and varnishes and the Ulyanovsk machine plant DMG MORI. The participants used this information in their final presentations.

German professors Martin Wenke and Helmut Rupsch gave their lectures on economics for students. In addition, colleagues from Germany met with Boris Kostishko,  the Rector of the flagship university and discussed the prospects for further cooperation.

The first part of the international scientific-practical workshop was held from 24 to 30 March in Germany. Students of the USU Russian-German Faculty visited Münster, Cologne and Düsseldorf, and at the Faculty of Economics and Business of  Niederrhein University listened to lectures given by German professors. In the last days of the workshop, Russian and German students united in groups to work on projects on the interaction of scientific centers of both countries, universities and organizations in the field of science, production and technology.
