USU professor reveals the secrets of the universe to children of the nursery school
On the eve of Cosmonautics Day in the partner nursery school No. 186
“Volgarik”, Professor of the USU Department of Theoretical Physics, Academician
of the Academy of Cosmonautics named after K.E. Tsiolkovsky Viktor Zhuravlev
gave an interactive lecture “How man flew into space.”
Answering numerous children’s questions, the
professor said that since ancient times the mysterious world of planets and
stars attracted people’s attention with its mystery and enigmatic character,
now the dream to conquer space has become a reality, and the cosmonaut is a profession
that is honored.
In the course of the fascinating talk, children, their parents and teachers learned many interesting facts about outer space, got familiar with the achievements of the Russian scientist Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, the designer of the rocket-space systems Sergey Korolyov and the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin.
At the end of the meeting, Viktor Mikhailovich congratulated the children and the nursery school team on the upcoming Cosmonautics Day and presented the nursery school with unique models of the Energy rocket and the Buran shuttle. Children experienced a lot of positive emotions and a powerful incentive to obtain knowledge.
