USU students are new recipients of the Potanin Foundation scholarship
Masters of Ulyanovsk State University won the
contest for a personal scholarship of
the Vladimir Potanin Scholarship Program 2018/2019. Olga Vlasova (law, second
year), Vlada Voloschenko (philology, first year) and Oleg Klevtsov (philology, first
year) were among the top 500 masters in the country. Students -masters from 75 top universities in
Russia were invited to participate in the Vladimir Potanin Scholarship Program.
In the season 2018/2019 6,286 people showed interest in the scholarship
contest, of which 3,324 applications passed technical expertise, including checks
for plagiarism. According to the results of the correspondence examination,
1998 people passed to the second round of the contest.
The most popular area among the winners of the scholarship contest this season was computer science and information security (6.8%), economics (6%), jurisprudence (5.2%) and physics (5%). The most infrequent ones are agro-engineering (0.2%) and environmental engineering (0.2%).
The winners of the Scholarship Contest will receive a monthly stipend of the Vladimir Potanin Foundation in the amount of 20 thousand rubles a month from February 2019 until the end of their studies in their master programs.
