The department of Customs Affairs is a graduating department and provides training of specialists according to the State educational standard in 080115 "Customs procedures" and 036401 «Customs»
The department maintains close ties with the customs offices of Ulyanovsk and Samara. A number of officials of customs authorities are assigned to students of the Faculty of Law in school of Customs as advisors of their course research projects and graduation projects. They also participate in work of the State certifying commission. Their recommendations and suggestions are considered when scheduling work of the department for an academic year.
Main objectives of the department:
- to train highly qualified specialists in the field of customs affairs by implementing educational programs of higher education at a high theoretical, methodical and scientific level; — to provide educational and methodical support and ensure process of gaining profound knowledge in the field of both all-professional, and special subjects by students of the customs school; — to participate in scientific and practical conferences, Olympiads which are held by the Russian academy of Customs and higher education institutions of the Russian Federation eligible for training in the field of customs affairs.
Consolidation of the gained theoretical knowledge is carried out during the periods of student practical training that starts in their 1 year at the customs agencies and the organizations which are engaged in foreign economic activity.
