> USU affiliate in the town of Inza

ist1.jpgHistory of the Inza branch of Ulyanovsk State University dates back to 2002. This initiative was made by the staff members of the Inza State College of Technology, Economics and Law, headed by the honored teacher of the higher education institution of the Russian Federation V. N. Shkunov. The creation of the branch meets urgent needs of young people of western areas of the Ulyanovsk region. The petition to open the subsidiary was supported by honoured school teachers of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic and the Russian Federation, by heads of the municipalities located in this part of the Ulyanovsk region, as well as the heads of the municipalities of the Nikolsky district, Penza region and Bolshebereznikovsky district of the Republic of Mordovia, leadership of Ulyanovsk State University (Rector Dr., prof. Polyanskov YV), the government of the Ulyanovsk region.

The Inza branch office of Ulyanovsk State University was opened by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation 2635 of July 10, 2002. At this stage, the transfer of the academic building was carried out for the needs of the educational process, the licensing procedure of the specialties of the Institution "State and Municipal Management and Accounting", Analysis and Audit was carried out.

At present the Inza branch office is headed by doctor of historic sciences, doctor of pedagogical sciences, chair of the department of State Management and Economics Vladimir N. Shkunov.

In 2004, the classroom building was renovated, the new classroom furniture was purchased, computer centers were opened. In May 2008, the department of economic and social sciences and humanities was opened. In January 2009, the Methodological Council and Board of Trustees were instituted. The Board of Trustees incorporated the heads of the leading enterprises, institutions and organizations located in the western region of the Ulyanovsk Region (Chairman of the Board of Trustees the head of the Municipal Administration of the Inzensky District A.E. Yashin).

According to the decision of the USU Academic Council of 30.08.2010 the Department of Economic and Social Sciences and Humanities was reorganized into two independent departments. Department of Public Administration and Law headed by Doctor of Economics, Professor Lapin, Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting PhD, Professor Baigulov.

In 2011Inza branch was accredited by the State Accreditation Board.

In the summer of 2011 for the first time the admission of students was implemented for undergraduate programs. Currently the USU Inza branch has 200students. In order to modernize the regional system of vocational education the procedure combining the USU branch with Inza state technical school of technology, economics and law has been launched. This merger will increase the number of troops trained to 1ths., And high school graduates of the western area of Ulyanovsk region will be given a choice of a wide range of specialties in higher and secondary vocational education, professions, vocational education, as well as additional professional education programs.

On February 8, 2012 by the order of the Rector of USU Kostishko the Academic Council was established in the Inza branch office.

Currently, there are 5Doctors of Science workng at the Inza subsidiary in six programs of study, 16 PhDs, and 6teachers who are postgraduate students and doing their degrees.
