2020-06-29 17:27

The main topic of conversation at the session, which was held in the sanatorium and health complex of USU "The Seagull", was the improvement of the system of interaction between the authorities, educational institutions and medicine in solving personnel issues of health care. The conversation was attended by Governor Sergei Morozov. “Healthcare personnel is the intellectual potential of the sector which requires long-term training and continuous professional development. Owing to the implementation of personnel programs and the improvement of interaction with the main institution of higher education in the region, we are planning to fulfill the tasks set by the President of Russia in the national project “Healthcare” to attract specialists in medicine ” said the head of the region.

In the format of active interaction and brainstorming, chief physicians, heads of healthcare management bodies, members of the Medical Chamber of the Ulyanovsk Region, USU specialists, led by the Rector, developed a roadmap for the program “Medicine - We Trust the Young” designed to gradually solve the main issues in the field of training professional healthcare personnel in 2020-2023.

“The main objective that needs to be solved is the return of our students and residents to healthcare institutions in the region after their graduation. We discussed issues of joint work with the USU Faculty of Medicine outlined the next steps that we are going to follow. One of the measures is to set up a coordination council which will include representatives of the main university, the Medical Chamber, the Ministry of Health and healthcare institutions” said Victor Misharin, head of the department.
