A cooperation agreement between USU and secondary school No. 37 has been signed
At the online meeting of the administration, the agreement was signed by Boris Kostishko, the Rector of USU and Igor Komissarov, the director of the MBEI secondary school No. 37.
The agreement provides for partnership in supporting gifted children, building the concept of continuous training “school-university-enterprise”. But the main message of the document is MBEI secondary school No. 37 becomes the base school of the House of Scientific Collaboration, set up at USU.
“The university has taken a very important and valuable step for us” Igor Komissarov said after signing the agreement. “We have high hopes for cooperation on research and the identification of children's giftedness.”
The House of Scientific Collaboration (HSC) is a joint project of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Ulyanovsk Region with the participation of Ulyanovsk State University, aimed at creating a new type of thinking for students. USU was not chosen by chance as a site for setting up the HSC. The university conducts fundamental and applied research in a wide range of sciences, actively increases the volume of innovative activities within the framework of federal target and departmental programs, is a platform and organizer of All-Russian Olympiads and competitions, as well as a participant in federal thematic shifts for gifted children. The modern material and technical base of USU provides for the effective implementation of educational programs, scientific, innovative and creative activities. Some of the necessary equipment for the implementation of the HSC project is already available at the university.
