USU holds the “Night of Museums”
The annual campaign was held on May 16 - on the eve of the International Museum Day. In 2020, it was first held online.
The USU History Museum and the Antoine de Saint-Exupery International
Linguistic and Cultural Center organized a program “In the Sky above the Motherland”,
dedicated to aviation, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Great
Victory and the 120th anniversary of the French writer and professional pilot
Antoine de Saint-Exupery. The participants of the event were the State Archive
of the Latest History of the Ulyanovsk Region, the Antoine de Saint-Exupery
Gallery of the UICA named after the Chief Air Marshal B.P. Bugaev, International Center “Alliance-Frances”
in Ulyanovsk, Arkady Plastov Karsun Children’s Art School, linguistic gymnasium
and secondary school No. 72 of Ulyanovsk, Simbirsk grammar school “Dar”,
Belarusian State Pedagogical University “Rainbow” (Bobruisk, Belarus), USU
scientific library and students of the preeminent university. Online lectures
and virtual exhibitions, information posts and a competition of children’s
drawings were prepared for visitors. One can familiarize oneself with the
materials of the Night of Museums on the event page of the website Vkontakte.
The online format attracted viewers not only from the Ulyanovsk region, but also from Moscow, Krasnodar and other cities and regions of Russia and Belarus.
