USU is hosting the international hackathon workshop "jHack"
The second stage of the German-Russian hackathon workshop “jHack 2.0”
started at the university. The event is organized in the framework of the
cooperation agreement between Ulyanovsk State University and Niederrhein University
in order to maintain and further develop cooperation with universities and
organizations of Germany in the field of education.
The goal of the hackathon is to gain practical
experience by students in working in international teams, to solve technical
problems from scratch until the start of industrial operation. In addition to assignments,
cultural and leisure activities have been arranged for participants of this
exchange program. On January 14, excursions around the campus, the Center for
Youth Innovation Creativity “Embodiment” and the USU History Museum were
organized for guests from Germany. After the opening the participants had a walk around Ulyanovsk
and visited the Lenin Museum and the Museum of “Simbirsk Photography”. In
addition, members of the German team went skiing in the recreation camp “Seagull”
where they live from January 13 to 17.
Final presentations, summing up the results of the “jHack 2.0” -2020 hackathon and giving certificates is to take place on January 16.
