The exhibition “The heirs of the Great Victory” has been opened in the USU History Museum

An exhibition of children's art works dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, as well as a scientific and practical conference “Continuation of A.A. Plastov’s Peacemaking Motives in contemporary children's art as one of the forms of patriotic education of youth ”. The events are held by Ulyanovsk State University together with the Karsun School of Arts named after Arkady Plastov with the support of a grant from the regional government and the Ministry of Art and Cultural Policy of the Ulyanovsk Region.
The exhibition was opened by Elena Kurakova, the representative of the Ministry of Art and Cultural Policy of the Ulyanovsk Region. Elena Viktorovna awarded children from Karsun - participants and winners of art contests and their teachers. The guests were welcomed by Yuri Polyanskov, the USU President: “I am very pleased to attend this event. The Karsun children's art school is known throughout Russia and abroad. I congratulate gifted school students on the opening of a new exhibition and wish them further success and victories! ”
Lilia Khamidullina, the head of the department of pre-university education of USU invited school students to participate in university events and made a presentation about the forms of pre-university training that are implemented at the flagship university.
Lyudmila Soldatkina, an adviser on Culture to the head of the municipality of the Karsun district, emphasized that despite the fact that drawings of Karsun children were exhibited in 20 countries, it was especially nice to present the achievements of the children at Ulyanovsk State University.
Head of the project “Heirs of the Great Victory”, director of the Karsun Children's Art School named after A. Plastova Vladimir Frolov thanked the university for its support and understanding of the role of children in peacekeeping.
At the conference, speakers from Karsunsky, Staromainsky districts and the regional center presented the results of their work in fostering patriotism. The dean of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Rehabilitation of USU Vladimir Valtsev said about spiritual and patriotic education in the festival movement.
The event was not left without a cultural component. Student of the Music school named after G.I. Shadrina Anastasia Lachugina performed the song “Remember”. School students of the Karsun Children's Art School named after A. Plastov -members of the vocal ensemble "Girlfriends" performed before the audience. They sang military ditties and Russian folk songs that were sung in the Plastov family.
