A public discussion of the flagship university project “ARTery” at Ulyanovsk State University
The project of USU “ARTery” takes part in the competition of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives. It aims to create a navigation system in public places on campus. It is no secret that on USU campus there are many objects of urban significance - architectural monuments, sports and creative venues, a picturesque Sviyaga marina. By creating a well-thought route, the university’s infrastructure facilities will become visually open and accessible not only to students, but also to citizens. The navigation system is going to be implemented in a single style and author's design. On the route, QR codes will be used to quickly inform about each object (features, services, opening hours, etc.).
At the center “Boiling point”, the ARTery project was presented by the strategic project team of USU “Region. Culture. Reset". The Vice-Rector for International relations and youth policy Tatyana Kirillova spoke about the essence of the idea.
The participants of the discussion were the deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Ulyanovsk Region Maria Rogatkina, the Youth minister of construction and architecture Stepan Besarab, the chairman of the regional branch of the Union of Journalists of Russia Oleg Samartsev, the local historian Sergey Petrov, designers, students and university staff, residents of the area “Sviyaga embankment”.
Participants approved the idea of “upgrading” the USU campus and expressed their propositions. The point was about developing a mobile application with a navigator on university campus, creating a “living” symbol of USU - a character that could act as a “guide”, installing platforms with a virtual microdistrict map, etc.
The project will become a reality if it wins in the competition, the results of which depend on public voting. You can support the initiative of our university by the link .
