A new English teacher from the USA comes to USU
2019-09-16 11:26 Fiona Bell, a Fulbright fellow from the USA is going to teach English to students of the flagship university in the 2019-2020 academic year.
The girl studied the Russian language and Russian literature at Princeton University (New Jersey), then completed the master course in Oxford (England). Fiona got acquainted with Russia and loved our country during internships in St. Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod.
“I grew up in the USA, South Korea and France, so I feel like a foreigner at home in Florida. I am going to work as a teacher of English at USU for a year, and then I will return to the USA to do a doctoral program at Yale University. I was planning to start my program this fall, but I received a grant from the Fulbright program and came here as the exchange program participant ” said Fiona. - Depending on students’ wishes, we can create an English club or a theater in which we will stage American plays. At one time I played in the troupe of a French theater, and it helped me a lot, because it is better to learn a foreign language in the process of creativity. ”
