The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation holds a meeting with the focus on the issues of universities’ information activities
At a meeting-workshop with
representatives of subordinate educational organizations, the topic was about
strengthening the role of universities in the formation of state informational
scientific, educational and youth policies. Vice-rectors in charge of universities’
information policy and heads of university press services, over 400
participants from 230 universities, were invited to participate in a
professional dialogue. Ulyanovsk State University was represented by Tatyana
Kirillova, Vice-Rector for External Relations and Youth Policy.
The 8-hour intensive training program included 12
blocks, each in an interactive format. The experts were the representatives of the
Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and directors of project departments and press
services of universities.
The speakers discussed with participants important topics of the professional agenda - the organization of information support for the national projects “Science” and “Education”, in collaboration with the editors of the portal “National Projects. The future of Russia ”. They also discussed such an issue as raising awareness of university brands and building long-term external relations, as well as formats for interaction with the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science.
The key event of the seminar was a talk with the participation of Mikhail Kotyukov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The moderator of the conversation was the Vice-Rector of UrFU Alexey Fayustov. The meeting participants were able to address the head of the department their questions - what tasks and challenges the modern system of higher education in the country is facing, the competitiveness of Russian education in the world market, the need for productive interaction between universities and regional leaders, academic science and industrial partners, etc. Mikhail Kotyukov confirmed the organization of such meetings on a regular basis.
