USU delegation takes part in All-Russian Congress of Neurologists in St. Petersburg
The XI All-Russian Congress of Neurologists and the IV Congress of the National Association for Stroke Control are the largest events in the world of Russian neurological science. Among the delegates and guests are leading Russian and foreign neurologists, members of the presidium and board of the All-Russian Society of Neurologists and the National Association for Stroke Control, representatives of republican, regional and regional healthcare authorities.
The speaker in the session “New technologies of rehabilitation” was Victor
Mashin, the head of the Department of Neurology, Neurosurgery, Physiotherapy
and Physical Therapy of USU. The project of a student of USU, Evgeny Dudikov, was
presented to participants’ attention which is aimed at developing a hardware
and software complex using virtual reality technology. That involves modeling a
full-fledged ergotherapist’s office without an additional need for real space.
The technology will make it possible the best way to adapt a patient with
neurological disorders to function in a familiar environment: at home, at work,
on the street. The project aroused a keen interest of the session listeners and
was highly appreciated by the chairperson of the Union of Rehabilitologists of
Russia Galina Ivanova.
In addition, on June 18, an international competition of youth projects in the field of medical and non-medical rehabilitation “Rehabilitation +” was presented at the congress. The chairperson of the Union of Rehabilitologists, Galina Ivanova, encouraged to take an active part in the competition and noted the successful activities of USU in introducing innovative ideas of young scientists into the practice of rehabilitation.
