Sergei Valenkov, the chief federal inspector for the Ulyanovsk region visits USU

Sergei Valenkov discussed the prospects for the development of the university with
Rector Boris Kostishko. The guest saw the campus, familiarized himself with the
possibilities of educational, scientific, innovative platforms - the competence
center “Digital Economy”, art-incubator, the Center for Youth Innovative
Creativity “Embodiment”, etc.
Sergei Valenkov was appointed to the post of chief
federal inspector for the Ulyanovsk region a little more than a month ago.
Prior to that, he worked as an assistant to the plenipotentiary representative
of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District, and
even earlier - as the chief federal inspector for the Nizhny Novgorod region.
Sergei Yuryevich showed great interest to the classical university, noting its significant contribution to the successful development of the region, and promised to fully promote university initiatives.
