USU delegation participates in the Russian-Uzbek business forum in Tashkent
The purpose of the events is to promote the further development and strengthening of trade and economic relations between the two countries, the promotion of Russian export high-tech products to the market of Uzbekistan and the expansion of cooperation between entrepreneurs in the field of education and science. The forum will last until April 26 inclusive.
The exhibition presents promising developments and innovative products of more than 200 Russian enterprises, universities and research organizations, investment projects of the regions. Visitors were interested in the catalog of online publications of USU scientists and other projects of the university.
The program of the forum includes plenary sessions and panel discussions, visits to enterprises of Uzbekistan, round tables on the main branches of Russian-Uzbek cooperation and the signing of bilateral documents.
In the framework of round table 1 on education: "Priority areas of training qualified personnel for the industry of Uzbekistan", "Presentation of Russian universities" USU Rector Boris Kostishko spoke on "The role of the flagship university of the Ulyanovsk region in the development of international cooperation in education and science."
The residents of Ulyanovsk were delighted to meet with the honorary professor of USU, Karsten Heinz, who has recently been appointed as Deputy Minister of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
