Colleagues from Tula adopt USU experience in the field of digital technologies
The delegation of the Tula region has been met today at the center of the
digital economy. The agenda included the issues of educational and project
activity, the problems of introducing new technologies and interaction with the
Representatives of the Ministry of Finance of the
Tula Region Elena Kazmerchuk and Svetlana Vekshina, Vice-Rector for Research
and Development of TSPU named after A.G. L.N. Tolstoy Konstantin Podrezov,
Vice-Rector for Science at TSU, Mikhail Vorotilin, and a member of the
Coordination Council for the Digital Economy of the Tula Region, Konstantin
Dmitry Shabalkin, Vice-Rector for innovative development at USU, told delegates about the activity of the regional center of competence “Digital Economy” and show them around its facilities.
“In 2018, USU launched a new strategic project “Digital Transformation Competence Workshop ”, which is an element of the Program for the Development of the Higher Education Institution until 2021. The rector and the governor supported the idea of creating a space for the training of specialists in the field of the digital economy. Interests of the region, university and development institutes such as the University of Scientific and Technical Information met. In the new center, students have the opportunity not only to acquire competencies, master the technologies of augmented reality and QR, but also implement projects on the most modern equipment with the creation of a real product to enter the market. There are no teachers in the design workshop, here all the masters are representatives of real business, carriers of IT competencies” said Dmitry Shabalkin.
Director of the Center for Internet Education at USU, Alla Kostishko, presented the project “I am a specialist of the future,” and shared her experience in creating code classes, retraining and advanced training for employees of state institutions at various levels.
