We express our condolences in connection with the death of Alexander Dozorov , the Rector of  USAU

Alexander Vladimirovich Dozorov,  the Rector of Ulyanovsk State Agrarian University named after P.A. Stolypin died at the age of 53.

Alexander Dozorov was born on June 7, 1965. In 1988 he graduated from the Ulyanovsk Agricultural Institute, having been awarded with the diploma of an agronomist. In 1992 he defended his thesis at the Moscow Agricultural Academy named after K.A. Timiryazev. In 2003 he defended his doctoral dissertation at the Penza Agricultural Academy. In 2013, he graduated from the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation with a degree in State and Municipal Management.
From 1989 to 2001, he worked at the Department of  Plant breeding of the Ulyanovsk State Agricultural Academy, then he was appointed Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs. In 2004, he  was appointed Rector of the USAA (now USAU), and was subsequently re-elected to this position twice - in 2009 and 2014. He was engaged in social activities: he was a member of the Public Chamber of the Ulyanovsk region of three convocations (from 2006 to 2012).

Alexander Dozorov is the author of 180 scientific and methodological publications, three monographs, a practical course on crop growing and three textbooks recommended for publication by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. He prepared as a scientific advisor  one doctor and seven PhDs. He was among 500 people from the personnel reserve of the President of the Russian Federation. He was awarded medals "For merits in the All-Russian census 2006", "For merits in the All-Russian census 2010", as well as a badge "For the development of social partnership."
