More than 200 people: representatives of Russian universities, teachers, experts in the field of higher education, employers and members of public organizations of persons with disabilities met October 31 in Kirov at the forum “Devising a system of support for educational institutions of higher education for the implementation and development of inclusive education.” The main question to which the event has been devoted is the problems of provision of higher education to people with disabilities.

Ulyanovsk State University was represented by Elena Kalenik, Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Culture, and Igor Kochetkov, Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy. Elena Kalenik made a presentation “Social inclusion - expanding the boundaries of understanding. Experience and development prospects”on the discussion platform “ Accessible environment of higher education organizations: experience of creation and development ”. As part of the discussion platform, the substantive content was discussed, especially the design of an accessible environment at the university; needs and conflicts of interest of students with various disabilities. Participants in the discussion platform presented the experience of creating and developing an accessible university environment.
