Alexander Shabalin, USU associate professor has improved his qualifications at the educational center “Sirius”
Shabalin, associate professor of the
Department of Applied Mathematics, a teacher of USU courses for gifted children
to prepare for the Olympiad of the federal level in informatics participated in a new comprehensive program of the teaching
staff retraining for the systems to discover
and support gifted children and youth “Big Challenges”. The
program provides for two full-time modules and defense of the qualification
first module of the program was held at the educational center “Sirius” in
Sochi from June 5 to 17 in the field “Preparing schoolchildren for
participation in high-ranking competitions, contests, Olympiads in informatics”
organized at the educational center “Sirius”. The
second module “Design and Research Methods of Cognition” is going to held on
July 18-August 2. The
“Big Challenges” program is based on the Science and Technology Development
Strategy, which Vladimir Putin signed on December 1, 2016.
The preeminent institution of higher education of the region offers training courses for the federal level Olympiads for active and motivated schoolchildren of the 7th and 11th grades. Courses are free to attend for students and include such subjects as mathematics, computer science and physics.
