USU and the Bank of Russia sign a cooperation agreement
The branch of the
Volga-Vyatka Central Administration of the Central Bank of the Russian
Federation and Ulyanovsk State University signed an agreement on cooperation in
the field of financial literacy. The
document was signed by Vladimir Filimonov, the head of the Ulyanovsk branch of
the Volga-Vyatka Central Administration of the Central Bank of Russia, and
Boris Kostishko, Rector of Ulyanovsk
State University. The parties will implement projects aimed at increasing the financial culture
of the region's inhabitants. In
particular, the agreement involves holding thematic competitions, olympiads,
supporting public and private initiatives in this area, and co-training volunteers
in financial issues.
"Our task is to teach citizens to orient themselves in modern financial products and services, make informed decisions that will enable them to multiply their capital and not become victims of fraudsters," said Vladimir Filimonov, the head of the Ulyanovsk department of the Volga-Vyatka Administration of the Bank of Russia. - The signed agreement is the next stage of comprehensive educational work. Volunteer students trained will help to reach a wider audience in financial literacy classes. "
