USU holds Day of Indian Culture at the Lenin Memorial
An event timed to
coincide the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between
Russia and India will be held on December 8 at 3 pm at the Lenin Memorial with
the participation of USU students from India. A
bright program has been prepared within the framework of the strategic project
of the flagship university “Region. Culture. Reset”.
It will start at 15:00 with the cult Indian film "Disco Dancer" (1983) in the cinema hall of the Memorial museum. Further, Dmitry Rusin, assistant professor of USU will invite all who wish to the lecture “India through the eyes of an anthropologist". Immediately after it a quiz awaits the guests. USU students from India will present a theatrical music program at 17:00 in the small hall of the Lenin Memorial. There will be sites dedicated to Indian culture, master classes, including getting familiar with national cuisine. During the whole evening, excursions are going to be provided for the photo exhibition "Planet Earth - India".
