USU students are going to Adygea
2017-08-09 06:11

Traditionally the winners of the interuniversity choir festival-contest   organized by USU are awarded with a package holiday to warm areas of the country. This year the Faculty of Medicine won Grand Prix. Very soon 22 students are going to the youth  camp “Mountainous” . The camp is located in a picturesque nook in a mountainous area of the Western Caucasus at an altitude of  870 meters above sea level. In the vicinity of the camp there are a lot of unique natural objects: ravines,    caves untouched by man, grottos, canyons, panoramic ranges and waterfalls. The program of the tour comprises a rest on the Black sea coast and visiting the venue objects of the XXI World Youth and Student Festival in Sochi. Svetlana Popova, the head of the USU department of international relations, youth policy and social work said that this trip would enable boys and girls not only to have a rest and gain strength but also to familiarize themselves with the infrastructure of the expected event that was supposed to take place in October. Some choir members will be make up the delegation  of the Ulyanovsk region to participate in the festival.

The trip is being organized in the framework of the strategic project implementation within the USU development program “Region. Culture. Reset.”

For reference: For the first time the Choir festival was held in 2014 and in 2015 the contest acquired the international status – for the first time the international students’ choir participated in it. Since 2016 the project has become an interuniversity event. This unique event not only for our region but also for the Volga region annually draws capacity audience. The festival is annually held with the assistance of USU and Ministry of Science and Education aimed at the Development Program of student associations’ activity.
