Newly-established Public Chamber unites Russian university rectors
A new association that brings together top officials of Russian higher educational institutions, Rectors’ Public Chamber, has been established to raise awareness of the current issues facing Russian colleges and universities.
This initiative is part of the Global Innovation in Education portal that ensures educators quick access to and sharing large bulks of electronic information. The new network will enable chamber members to conduct open and closed meetings, vote, pass and sign resolutions.
USU rector Boris Kostishko has been elected to the board of directors of the newly-established chamber.
On April 9, chamber members assembled to discuss “Prospects for modernization of higher education through web-based networking of community, political, education, science and business leaders”.
