Mr. Jossef Tavor of Israeli Embassy visits USU
The first secretary of the Embassy of Israel in Moscow Mr. Jossef Tavor visited USU to discuss the prospects for cultural and educational exchanges between Russian and Israeli universities, as part of his visit to Ulyanovsk region on October
Mr. Tavor gave two lectures to USU students and teachers focusing on the contribution of Russian immigrants to Israeli culture. He pointed out that many features characteristic of Russian literature, theater, music and painting have diversified and enriched the Hallowed Land’s cultural traditions.
While at USU, Mr. Tavor met rector Boris Kostishko and attended the student festival dedicated to USU’s 20th anniversary, where he was presented with a letter of recognition for his efforts to promote good will and friendly relations between nations.
