USU opens student Art Studio
A newly established student Art studio, which was ceremoniously opened on the main USU campus on September 24, will become the chief venue for the majority of student events and a place to practice for many student performance groups.
The studio is a brainchild of USU student council and part of the student self-government project implemented in close contact with the university administration.
The Art studio is expected to help foster artistic talents, encourage student involvement in recreational activities and build team spirit on the campus.
A famous Russian painter and USU honorary professor, Ulyanovsk-born Nikas Safronov commended the university for this achievement in a congratulatory letter, which was read out to the audience at the opening ceremony.
