USU signs academic exchange agreement with Tianjin International Culture Institute
A delegation from Tianjin International Culture Institute (TICI), China, visited Ulyanovsk State University on May 23 – 25 to agree upon the terms of academic exchanges and explore other linkage opportunities.
The delegation, which included director Zhou Yuvei, head of international office Wang Anna and interpreter Dong Di, met with rector Boris Kostishko and made a presentation for Chinese language learners, which focused on the study options offered by the institute.
USU linguistics students have enjoyed the opportunity to study the Chinese language free of charge since the beginning of the current academic year, thanks to a faculty exchange program participant from Heilongjian University Liang Yan.
The newly established ties are expected to benefit primarily USU and TICI language students, although long-term plans include exchanges of music and dance groups.
Situated in Tianjin, a major city in northern coastal China, TICI is one of the largest educational institutions in China that provides education in culture and arts.
